Today we’re proud to celebrate Jennifer Oliver with an incredible 35 years of service with Phillips Contracting!

As our Accounting Admin, Jennifer has worn many hats over the years and has been a dedicated part of Phillips through decades of growth and change. Throughout her 35 years, she has always been someone our team can count on, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, and keeps things running smoothly in the office. When looking back over the years, she said she remembers the days of nervously relaying messages between foremen over the radios at the Waterworks office, convinced they were all getting a good laugh on the other end!

When asked what Phillips means to her, Jennifer said it has become like a second home and that from the day she started, she has always felt like part of the family. We’re thankful she chose Phillips all those years ago and even more thankful for the dedication, knowledge, and commitment she has brought to our team ever since. We appreciate all she has done and continue to do for Phillips Contracting.

And after 35 years, her motto remains the same: “No coffee, no workee!” ☕️

For 250 years, the American flag has stood as a symbol of freedom because generations of brave men and women were willing to fight, sacrifice, and, for many, give their lives to protect it. This Independence Day, we remember those heroes whose courage secured the blessings of liberty we enjoy today.

This photo takes us back to circa 1976, when Phillips Contracting’s Ready Mix division proudly displayed the American flag across its fleet in celebration of America’s bicentennial birthday. As our nation marks 250 years of freedom, we’re proud to celebrate our own 80-year milestone of building infrastructure across the communities we call home.

We’re proud of where we’ve been, grateful for those who built our legacy, and excited for what lies ahead. Happy Independence Day, and God Bless America! 🇺🇸

Phillips Contracting is a family-owned company providing construction services in Northeast MS.

Decades of dedication have built more than the roads, bridges, and projects we’re proud of, they’ve built the foundation of who we are. Our veteran leaders have spent their careers setting the standard, sharing their knowledge, and investing in the next generation. Their mentorship is building the future leaders who will carry our industry forward.
