A little upgrade at our own shop 👏

We installed this commercial slide gate with a LiftMaster operator and solar power here at Chattahoochee Fence.

This one may be ours, but we install them for our customers too. Whether you need to secure a commercial property, shop, storage yard, or other large entrance, we can build the gate and handle the automation.

And yes, we definitely enjoy not having to get out and open this thing anymore. 😂

Now THAT is an entrance. 👏

We took this wide-open front yard and gave it a serious upgrade with a 3-rail farm fence, black welded wire, and an automatic double gate across the driveway.

The farm fence keeps the property open and beautiful while still giving the dogs a safe place to run and that automatic gate means no getting out of the car every time you come home. 🙌

Same exposed-post look. Different way of building it. 👀

We get asked about this style quite a bit, cap & trim with the posts exposed between each section.

The difference with the way we build it? Those exposed posts are steel.

That means they aren’t going to bow, twist or pull away from the fence as the years go by. And because of the way we frame around the steel post, you don’t end up with those growing gaps beside the posts like you can see in the second photo.

The tradeoff? You can’t put the traditional decorative post caps on top of ours because there isn’t actually a wood post there. But we’ll happily trade the post cap for a straighter, stronger fence that stays looking like it should. 🙌

And yes, a small gap around a gate is completely normal and necessary for the gate to operate properly. We’re talking about the gaps that develop along the fence itself as wood posts move, bow and twist over time.

Pretty is important. How it’s built underneath is even more important. 💪

Chattahoochee Fence almost lost their best employee yesterday. 😂☀️

Turns out staining fences in August in Georgia is a humbling experience.

Started the day looking somewhat put together… a few hours later I was hiding under a T-shirt questioning every decision that led me here. 😂

BUT… the fence turned out beautiful, so apparently I survived to stain another day. 🙌

10/10 fence.
0/10 weather.
Would not recommend. 😂

Now THAT is a fence upgrade. 👏

We tore out the old standard privacy fence and replaced it with one of our favorites — 6’ board-on-board with cap & trim on steel posts.

The biggest difference? This is true privacy. The boards overlap, so you don’t end up with those gaps between pickets as the wood naturally dries and shrinks. Then the decorative cap & trim gives the whole fence a much more finished look.

And with steel posts behind it, you get the look of a beautiful wood fence without relying on wood posts in the ground.

This yard got the upgrade it deserved. 🙌

The old fence had seen better days. The gate had barely worked for years, privacy was limited, and it was simply time for a fresh start.

We replaced it with a board-on-board cap and trim fence. This is our favorite style for homeowners who want true privacy. The overlapping pickets help eliminate gaps, while the cap and trim give it that clean, finished look from every angle.

Not the forklift calling out on a Monday. 😂

We had 28 bundles of pickets waiting to be unloaded, and this is what happened. Aaron and I laughed until we cried(after we got a forklift solution)🤦‍♀️🤣 You really can’t make this stuff up.

This one made us especially proud.

We upgraded this property from galvanized chain link to 6’ black chain link, and the customer was so happy with the finished fence and our crew’s hard work that she gave the guys a generous tip!

That kind of generosity is never expected, but it says a lot about the impression our team leaves behind. We’re incredibly proud of these guys and thankful for customers who notice how hard they work.

Sometimes we build fences to keep pets off of our decks and patios…..but some pets didn’t get the memo. 😂🐶

Meet our black lab, who figured out how to lift the cane bolt and let himself through the gate.

We can build the fence… we just can’t outsmart every Labrador. 🤷‍♂️🐾

Fun fact about Fisher: Aaron went to a quote one day and came home with a black lab. Then Fisher lived happily ever after. 🥰
