Joan Herbers, PhD, President of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) joined House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Women’s History Month.
“Improving the policies within federal agencies and academic institutions to eliminate gender biases against women in STEM will help ensure that our nation pursues the innovative capacity of all of its people, both men and women, and therefore remain the economic and technological leader of the global marketplace of the 21st century,” said Dr. Herbers.
