Last week, our Project Team came together to successfully move a historic 47,000 lb Baltimore & Ohio caboose for the Ohio History Connection renovation and improvements project. This special part of history will now serve as a welcoming piece at the entrance to Ohio Village.

More updates to come as this exciting project continues to take shape!

Our Summer 2026 Interns made it through their first week!

We’re excited to welcome this talented group as they spend the summer gaining hands-on experience through active on-site project participation, team social events, and volunteer opportunities in our community.

We’re looking forward to a summer of learning, growth, and building connections along the way.

At Continental, safety is more than a priority — it’s our #1 Core Value. During Safety Week 2026, our teams were “All In Together” as we focused on continuous learning, meaningful conversations, and reinforcing industry best practices that help create safer job sites for everyone.

Last week, our Safety Director, Matt Harbuck, met with teams daily to share insights, encourage open discussion, and emphasize the importance of recognizing hazards, responding proactively, and looking out for one another.

We wrapped up the week with team cookouts on Friday in Columbus and Pittsburgh, taking time to connect and celebrate our shared commitment to safety both on and off the jobsite.

to last Friday at Ohio University, where we attended the beam signing ceremony for the new Violet Patton Performing Arts Center.

We are grateful to be part of this project team and the excitement it will bring to the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts!

Faculty, students, staff, and members of the project team came together to sign this beam, which will become part of this new chapter in the history of Performing Arts at Ohio University!

to last Friday’s socials! Our Columbus team got together for a Mexican-themed lunch—we prepared street tacos and quesadillas on the Blackstone, with sides from Qdoba and ice cream from Graeter’s. Not a bad way to wrap up the week!

Our Pittsburgh team headed to Puttshack to challenge each other in some competitive mini-golf and skill contests. A little friendly competition made for a great time together! And a shout-out to Adam Lewis as the top golfer of the day!

Celebrating Milestones in Our Pittsburgh Office:

Last Thursday, we hosted our annual Anniversary Breakfast to recognize two valued leaders in our Pittsburgh office:

Adam Lewis, Senior Superintendent – 5 Years
