Finding the "Sweet Spot" for your CLT home!
As the North Carolina heat ramps up, we get asked one question more than any other: "Where should I set my thermostat?"
The Department of Energy recommends 78°F when you’re home, but we know that feels a bit toasty in our humidity. We suggest finding your "Sweet Spot" between 72°F and 75°F.
Pro-Tips to stay cool without dropping the temp:
Rotate the Fans: Ensure your ceiling fans are spinning counter-clockwise to push a cool breeze downward.
Close the Blinds: Those afternoon sun rays hitting your windows act like a giant heater. Keep the shades drawn on the sunny side of the house!
The "4-Degree Rule": If you’re heading out for the day, raise the temp by about 4 degrees. Don’t turn it off completely, or your AC will have to pull a "double shift" to cool it back down when you get home!
Keep your cool and your cash!
