Congrats to Sal on your retirement! Thank you for being such an important client and friend to us, having confidence in Northpoint to make your important projects a reality.

Sal Steven-Hubbard, LRCD's Senior Real Estate Developer, will retire on June 25th after 14 years of service at LRCD.

Sal has remained fiercely committed to the belief that everyone deserves to live in a safe home. For 35 years, she dedicated herself to the difficult task of creating affordable housing opportunities for people with low income throughout New England.

Sal always joked that she never saw a site she didn't want to develop. She wasn't afraid to take on difficult projects -- in fact, the more challenging the project, the more she seemed to want to do it! She had just the right mix of unbridled optimism, creativity, and persistence to excel in this field.

Under Sal's leadership, LRCD created, preserved, and improved nearly 200 units of affordable housing in the Lakes Region, including building the first multi-family property in New Hampshire to achieve Passive House certification (Gilford Village Knolls Phase III).

We will miss Sal's adventurous spirit, her passion for social justice, and her infectious laugh. LRCD truly will not be the same without her!

This pollinator week consider looking at your lawn differently. Leaving areas to grow wild will massively benefit pollinators like butterflies, who use tall grasses to lay eggs. This can be especially timesaving for areas that are difficult to mow, such as rocky, forested or water-logged areas.

Reducing mowing in designated areas could also allow for native wildflowers to bloom, too! Try keeping a record of all the different plants and butterflies you see as the summer stretches on. If you need an excuse to avoid yard work under the hot sun, look no further! The butterflies will thank you. 🦋

We secured local site plan approvals as well as all NHDES & NHDOT permits for this project. It's going to be a great addition to the neighborhood! We are super excited to see the finished product and expect to be regular customers. Another project taken to the finish line with Milestone Construction, LLC

We’ve seen the speculation—and we’re excited to finally share what’s coming to town 👀

Chichester Market is on the way! We’re building a local, family-owned market with a full butcher shop offering fresh-cut meats, along with groceries, produce, fresh fish, and a small kitchen serving sandwiches and takeout. We’ll also carry a selection of specialty meats from Healthy Buffalo.

You can find us at 127 Dover Rd in Chichester, NH.

Construction is moving along well. They’re currently finishing up spray foam insulation so drywall can begin soon. Our goal is to open in late summer or early fall, though as with any project, timelines can shift.

Northpoint Engineering looks forward to support Ausbon Sargent and the other project partners with wetland delineation, restoration master planning, and any required NHDES permits for stream corridor enhancements. We are pleased to support another NHDES ARM Fund project improving habitat.

Many of you might be familiar with the 40-acre Webb/Sherman field on Pleasant View Road in Bradford. It’s that remarkably flat hay field along West Branch Brook. Ausbon Sargent Land Protection Trust seeks to purchase this property from the willing current owners. ASLPT would preserve the agricultural land along the road, restore the lower wetland/field buffer, and allow continued public use. This property protects a long frontage to the brook where native brook trout still breed, beavers rearrange the flow creating habitat for countless species, and where many folks wander by ski, snowmobile, or on the end of their dog’s leash.
There will be an informational gathering at 128 Pleasant View Road on Tuesday March 24 at 6pm where questions will be answered. Do you need help permitting waterfront property improvements? We can help!

This job had a steep lot that required a u-shaped retaining wall to create a parking area along roadside while accommodating building site at significantly lower grade.

The retaining wall and building foundation were completed this Fall and now house construction can begin in the Spring!
