There has been some confusion and misinformation floating around the HVAC industry about R22 refrigerant. For clarification, NO R22 is not illegal, outlawed or no longer available! As of January 1st 2020 R22 refrigerant CAN NOT be imported or manufactured in the United States. It is available but prices will be increasing as supply gets limited! So if you have an older system operating with R22 refrigerant the ownership cost will be increased. Give us a call and we can review cost of keeping your system versus replacing with a new Lennox system! 704-791-9799
