ACOUSTICS ®
Acoustic solutions
The Stretchwall ® system is ideal for any environment where noise and sound need to be managed. It is constructed on site, which means that the fully trained installers can adapt to any constructional irregularities in the interior space and avoid the types of problems that can occur with typical pre-manufactured wall and ceiling panels such as poor fit, shipping &
handling damage, and limitations on shapes and sizes. In addition to managing noise and sound, the acoustic wall system can also incorporate low-voltage lighting and flat panel speaker systems behind the fabric covering making it a complete sound, lighting and design solution. The fabric finish can also easily be removed and replaced without disturbing the framework of the stretch wall or the acoustic core infill. With over 1000 easily removable fabrics to choose from, the system can be seen in offices, reception areas, conference and meeting rooms, airports, concert halls, auditoriums, schools, libraries, restaurants, gymnasiums, marine vessels, coaches, places of worship, hospitals, clinics and prisons. The Stretchwall system has been trail-blazing for over 20 years in the highly specialized and complex field of ambient acoustics and is ideal for any and all environments where noise and sound need to be controlled and effectively managed. The Stretchwall system is ideal for recording & broadcast studios, theatres, auditoriums, bars & nightclubs, conference rooms, offices, office pods, lobbies, convention centers, airports, restaurants, schools, libraries, gymnasiums, home theatres, nautical & motor coaches, childcare centers, places of worship, hospitals, exhibitions & prisons. Flexibility is key and acoustic walls systems are constructed on site, so that our highly-trained and expert technicians will adapt walls, ceilings and panels to interior constructional irregularities or unusual configurations. We can fit around doors, windows and all service supplies, including conduits, ducting and pipework. The system will also happily accommodate low-voltage lighting and flat panel speaker systems, creating an integrated design, sound and lighting solution. This tailor-made approach ensures that the problems which often beset projects utilizing conventional pre-fabricated acoustic wall and ceiling panels are completely eliminated. Such problems can include poor fit, shipping or general handing damage and the limitations on shape and size imposed by the inflexibility of pre-manufactured systems. The stretch wall systems are made using recycled materials as part of our commitment to environment sustainability. Where possible, product samples are re-used. All Stretchwall acoustic products carry a five year limited warranty. ACOUSTICS ®

Our gallery picture hanging hooks are designed to fit into Stretchwall midwall extrusions and help protect the surface from wear and damage. They are fashioned from stainless steel and most widely used in galleries, museums and also in private homes. Wiring:
In addition to managing noise and sound, the Stretchwall system can also incorporate low-voltage lighting where ambient light is often at a low level e.g. theatres, cinemas, concert halls Flat-panel speaker systems can also be incorporated behind the fabric covering making Stretchwall a complete sound, lighting and design solution.
2D Sculpting
The system can be sculpted utilizing curvilinear free-form geometrics which will allow the designer complete freedom to create interlocking intersections on the scale required.
3D Sculpting
With this Stretchwall creative option, chosen by many designers, specified areas of almost any size may be recessed or raised with a choice of edge configurations. StretchSpan
If you have a large ceiling and need seamless coverage and high acoustic absorption StretchSpan is the answer, with panels up to 16 ft. It will provide you with flawless and continuous acoustically efficient coverage and is perfect for domed, vaulted or coffered ceilings. Specifications
System finishes
The range of fabrics, finishes, textures and designs the designer can choose form is literally huge. Fabrics which are particularly suitable are those available in wide widths, having tight weaves and may be of wool, polyester, cotton or those having olefinic components. Materials featuring rayon, viscose or nylon must never be employed in a stretch fabric installation because such components are ‘hydrophilic’ in nature (readily absorbing atmospheric moisture) and are likely to sag and ripple in a way that will not be corrected, once humidity levels return to normal. Very lightweight materials may allow mounting systems or cores to be discernible and, in such cases, lining or suitable backing can be applied. Stretchwall systems readily allow the replacement of textile coverings, should damage occur as and when re-decoration is planned. Maximum design dimensions of panels will depend on the available lengths and widths of the fabrics selected. In any stretch fabric wall system, the selection of material is perhaps the key element and ideally, you should contact us early in your project planning, to initiate the discussion on suitable wall, ceiling or panel covering. System cores
You may choose cores that are sound absorbing, sound proofing or tackable together with some specialty cores. The selection of core properties does not affect the cosmetic appearance of the surface and therefore cannot compromise design, in any way. The types of core are:
*Single density - absorbent and available in densities from 11kg per M3 upwards
*Dual density - absorbent and consisting of a composite of two (or more) single density materials.
*Reflective - conforming to the size and appearance of absorbent cores but will have the opposite effect, in being reflective.
*Tackable - a dense mineral fiber composition that will hold pins and tacks securely.
*Impact resistant - specially designed and constructed for maximum durability. Specialty - these cores are ideal for those unusual situations where none of the preceding choices is entirely appropriate because the sub-surface material needs to be suitable for nailing or tacking or where special acoustic conditions apply. Stretching components
Stretchwall acoustic wall systems are very customer-friendly and to begin your project, you simply choose the system depth, the edge and wall configurations. Depths are 12mm - 23mm - 27mm - 32mm - 38mm and 52mm, although other depths may be customized, on request. Edge configurations are the bevel, radius, square or welted. Reveals are very creative and dramatic features for mid-wall areas and may be finished in wood, metal paint finish or other suitable selected materials. In standard width and edge configurations, reveals are available in cavity style, flush or raised (from the wall surface). Flexibility is key and Stretchwall systems are constructed on site, so that our highly-trained and expert technicians will adapt walls, ceilings and panels to interior constructional irregularities or unusual configurations. Stretchwall can be mounted on almost all wall or ceiling surfaces, stud panels, plaster work, stone, brick, metal, concrete or wood, or even on glass (including mirrors) and leather. The system will also happily accommodate low-voltage lighting and flat panel speaker systems, creating a integrated design, sound and lighting solution. This tailor-made approach ensures that the problems which often beset projects utilizing conventional pre-fabricated wall and ceiling panels are completely eliminated. Installation
To remind you, the Stretchwall system consists of a patented polymer stretching system or framework which is attached to the wall, an acoustic core infill that can absorb or reflect sound, depending on the needs of the client and a choice of over one thousand fabric coverings. The system can be applied to virtually any wall or ceiling surface, from brick or concrete to metal, plaster-board or wood and also to glass (including mirrors) and leather and can be fitted to any shaped surface including fabrication around ducting, conduits & other HVAC services. Professional installation
The Stretchwall system can be installed in two stages. The stretching system and core may be installed at an early stage, as part of ‘wet works’ - while painting and plastering are still being undertaken - and before the building is weather tight. Then, unlike many decorative finishes, the fabric can be installed as one of the last jobs of the project. Anytime & Anywhere
Professional installation by our skilled, qualified craftsmen is a very quick and clean operation and can be carried out anywhere in the United States and at any time, including outside business hours, during school holidays or at evenings and weekends. Estimates and Timing
At H.C. Acoustics we have developed a sophisticated estimating package which enables us to meet tender deadlines and other requirements. Projects usually have a standard lead time of 2-3 weeks, although urgent projects can often be scheduled within 1-2 weeks.
