PROJECT MANAGER: COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Matthews Construction Co., Inc. is currently looking to hire a Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team working on projects across North and South Carolina. This position will be based out of our Conover, NC office. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing successful completion of projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities include administration, scheduling, budgeting, procurement of subcontractors, procurement of materials, and direct contact with Clients and Design Team.

Matthews Construction Co., Inc. is currently looking to hire a Lead Superintendent with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team working on a hospitality project in Raleigh, NC. Matthews Construction is a General Contractor with over 70 years of experience in all areas of commercial construction. The Project Superintendent is responsible for all onsite supervision and administration for all construction operations. Responsibilities include onsite daily management, coordination, supervision, quality control, safety management, and planning/scheduling. The Lead Superintendent will be required to effectively and efficiently communicate with all parties involved in the project.

Responsibilities:

· Onsite Supervision & Administration

· Daily Project Coordination

· Project Scheduling & Planning

· Contractor Oversite

· Quality Control

· Safety Management

· Daily Reports

· Financial Recognition

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years experience as a commercial construction superintendent

· Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with all parties involved in the project (Management Team, Design Team, Ownership Team, and Contractors)

· Adept leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

· Skilled ability to understand Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings

· Proficient jobsite safety knowledge preferred

· Previous experience on large hospitality projects

Experienced Construction Estimator
Matthews Construction Co., Inc. is currently looking to hire a Construction Estimator with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team working on projects across North and South Carolina. This position will be based out of our Conover NC office. The Construction Estimator is responsible for all Preconstruction activities required to obtain work whether project is Bid or Negotiated. It is the Estimators responsibility to establish accurate budgets by reviewing all necessary documents and communicating with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, clients, and design team.
