Some companies try to make an effort and add additional ventilation to their roofing projects, unfortunately a fundamental misunderstanding can be more detrimental that beneficial. The installation of this Attic Breeze on this roof will more than likely short circuit the ventilation and the airflow, circulating hot air and moisture with the passive ridge vent now becoming intake while the Attic Breeze acts as active ventilation and actively draws air in from the ridge vent. Highly ineffective and goes against manufacturer spec and building codes. (Not to mention the Attic Breeze is installed upside down on this slope).

Why is roof ventilation important? This is an example of how hot the roof surface gets on a roof. Hot enough to cause a copper penny to cup from the extreme heat.
