🔥 TIP TUESDAY | Fireplace Maintenance

Your indoor fireplace may not be getting much use during a Texas summer, which actually makes this a great time to give it a little attention before cooler weather arrives!

A few simple fireplace maintenance tips:

• Remove old ashes and debris from the firebox
• Wipe down the doors, screen and surrounding area
• Check for cracks, loose bricks or damaged mortar
• Make sure the damper opens and closes properly
• If you have a wood-burning fireplace, have the chimney inspected and professionally cleaned as needed
• For gas fireplaces, check the logs, burner and vents and schedule professional service if anything doesn’t look right

Regular maintenance helps keep your fireplace looking great, working properly and ready for that first cool Texas night.

A little maintenance now = one less thing to worry about later.
