Night Sky 36

Night Sky 36 The official page for Tennessee Tech's first Astronomy Club, Night Sky 36. Welcome to Tennessee Tech's first Astronomy Club, Night Sky 36!

We're a group that was formed so those interested in astronomy could have the chance to attend local viewing sessions, look through real telescopes, and learn about exciting astronomical events and what they mean for humanity. Since we're primarily a viewing club, the majority of our meetings take place at night, making it easy to attend for those faculty and community members with jobs. Occasiona

lly, we'll have informational meetings during dead hour (Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 11:00 am and noon) so students can attend, but since those are during the day, unless we're viewing solar prominences, flares, or sunspots, we'll always be meeting at night. If you would like to get involved on a deeper level and help with events or viewing sessions (we need help!), or even just have a car to ferry folks to/from the viewing location, please send us a DM and we'll make sure to make that happen! Thanks for your interest in NightSky 36!
