We are a new up and coming construction company based out of Coos Bay, Oregon that is continually growing and looking for new members to join the team. We currently have an opening for a Lead Carpenter and Journeyman to join the team.
Please read below for a brief overview of the candidate were looking to hire.
The Lead carpenter will be responsible for leading his team of up to 3 people managing home renovation projects. Duties and responsibilities include:
• Constructing and remodeling high-end kitchens, bathrooms and general residential construction according to
project requirements and specifications.
• Managing efficient use of the company's time, manpower and materials on each project.
• Safely handling materials and operating all equipment, including power tools.
• Thorough communication with the Project Manager.
• Work on smaller projects alone without any supervision.
• Interacting with homeowners and subcontractors.
• Inspecting delivered materials to ensure there are no defects or shortages.
• Supervising a crew of carpenters and subcontractors.
• Maintaining a high level of safety and quality assurance.
• Not afraid to ask for help and able to take constructive criticism.
Required Qualifications
• 5 Years of experience doing general/finished carpentry
• Ability to understand a project from start to finish
• Ability to read and understand project plans
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to take pride in every project you oversee
• Ability to perform work in a professional manner that represents the company well
Compensation
• $500 bonus after 3-month probationary period
• $25-35 an hour DOE; We are willing to pay the right applicant what they are worth
