Her upright bass, affectionately named “Rosie” (a tribute to Rosie The Riveter), is a Rocker from Silver Creek and is equipped with a K&K Bass Master Rockabilly Pickup System.
Presley is known for her dynamic performances that go far beyond traditional bass playing - she literally dances with her instrument, and executes impressive rockabilly tricks…all while dressed in heels as a vintage 1950s girl.

I'm really excited to share with you the release of the single "Palo
de Oros (Suit of Coins)" on the label Pyroclastic Records. This single is part of my upcoming septet album "Breaking Stretch" which will be released on September 6.

The video above was filmed by the amazing Frank Heath during the recording of this single at the legendary Power Station BerkleeNYC.

About the single “Palo de Oros (Suit of Coins)” - As a child, I played countless card games with my grandmother. One of the Spanish suits is the suit of gold coins, also known as pentacles. The shape of the pentacle - a five pointed star composed of ten line segments - inspires the rhythmic structure here: a time signature of ten beats, each of sixteenth note value, with the division of the measures and phrases divided into micro and macro groups of five beats. Only one section uses four beats. This binary structure, with its melodic and rhythmic density, represents the grounding force of the earth element, which is also associated with the palo de oros. I want a sense of foundation amidst all the swirling movement.
