Ever found yourself standing in the store, scratching your head wondering what the heck a MERV rating is and which rating you should use for your personal HVAC system? Well you're in luck! We have a little bit of light reading for you on this Monday afternoon...

Side note: knowing that dirt and corrosion are the mortal enemies of your HVAC system, you may be inclined to reach for a higher MERV rated filter... BUT! The higher your MERV rating, the higher the chance of a system freeze-up. David recommends sticking to a filter somewhere in the range of 11-13.
