To Our Valued Blue Bird Flour Customers,
We want to take a moment to address recent concerns regarding rumors of a product "recall" in Bashas' Grocery Stores. Yesterday afternoon, we were contacted by a Food Safety Manager from the Bashas' Phoenix Warehouse, who informed us of a localized issue with a bug infestation in their warehouse. It appears that some of the smaller flour bags (5- and 10-pound) stored and dated (APRIL) at the Phoenix warehouse may have been affected. As a precautionary measure, Bashas' immediately removed product from their warehouse and placed it on hold within their system while they address the situation.
Unfortunately, this internal hold has led to some confusion within their stores. Reports of recall signage appearing in certain stores. We promptly reached out to Bashas' and have since received confirmation and an apology from the Food Safety Manager that this was a misunderstanding. The product hold applies only to the Phoenix warehouse and does not affect all Bashas' locations. Importantly, many of the Dine' stores receive direct deliveries from us and are not impacted by this situation.
Please rest assured that there has been NO recall issued, and Blue Bird Flour remains safe for consumption. We sincerely apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused.
