Do you ever wonder who is in one of those Hathaway trucks or better yet… whose hands are building some of Coshocton’s buildings or, making updates to our Coshocton factories? Well… you don’t have to any longer… over the next several months we are going to do a “spot light” Ad featuring our employees. Our employees at Hathaway,Inc. are dedicated and truly care about the work they do… we may be bias but we think they are the best!

April’s Employee is Charles “Chuck” Blair. Chuck started with Hathaway,Inc. as a laborer in 1994 and will actually be retiring at the end of this month. Chuck choose to join the laborer’s union as that is what most of his family did. His great uncle was a charter member of Local 134 in which is in Newcomerstown. Chuck started working at Kiefer’s Florist at the age of 16 making $2.75 per hour. When Chuck turned 18, his uncle and step father got him on a union pipeline for $13.35 per hour and he has been a union laborer now for 44 years.
Chuck has been married to his wife Debra since 2009 they reside here in Coshocton. They have two daughters and a granddaughter. In Chucks spare time he enjoys cooking and gardening. He also enjoys polishing and shaping rocks and is an avid history buff along with the paranormal and cryptozoology. Chuck and his wife also try to go to the beach every year where he likes spending time looking for shark teeth to add to his collection.
We asked Chuck what he likes most about working at Hathaway, Inc. and he says “Working at Hathaway , Inc. is like one big family. It’s not a large company and we’ve known everybody for years. We mostly work local so there’s not much traveling. It really seems like this place is my home away from home”.

We want to thank Chuck Blair for his continued hard work and dedication to not only us here at Hathaway but to our beautiful little town. Chuck we appreciate you and wish you the best with your upcoming retirement.
