Position: Construction Superintendent
We are looking for a driven team member who will be assisting in assuring the efficient use of materials, equipment, labor, and contractors to complete a project successfully. A successful project is on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the required quality and manner consistent with appropriate safety standards.
The team member will provide on-site coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects, including coordination with subcontractors, materials, and equipment. You will ensure specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all trade and field personnel required to successfully complete the project
Communicate with owners, architects, and internal team about field issues; Investigate and resolve such issues
Ensure the site has proper materials ordered and scheduled inspections as necessary
Create monthly schedules and determine the sequencing of work
Manage the overall site safety program as required and ensure subcontractor compliance
Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents Project Coordinators, including completing performance appraisals
Qualifications
Must be able to forecast and monitor costs of the project
Considerable knowledge of all construction tools, machinery methods, and procedures
Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Must demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills
- Preference given to bilingual Spanish speakers
License/Certification:
