There are quite a few fence companies out there that require the homeowner to get the permit. Below is one of the many reasons we file the permit ourselves. We know the regulations and setbacks. We want to ensure all the T’s are crossed and the I’s are dotted. We want it to be our responsibility.

Omaha has multiple requirements such as being insured and continuing education in order to be a contractor that files for permits. Council Bluffs also requires insurance and to be a State of Iowa contractor to pull a permit.

We have lost jobs because we choose to file permits and follow the regulations. We don’t do it to be pushy, but to save the homeowner a headache and money later on.

Make sure you always do your homework on any company you choose whether it be for fences, concrete, septics, framing etc.

About a dozen Gretna homeowners were ordered to move back their privacy fences. Three of them appealed to the city’s Board of Adjustment.
