Cozying up to a wood-burning fire?

Turn the thermostat down to 55F when using a fireplace. Older, wood-burning fireplaces tend to be inefficient and can be costly, drawing more heated air out of your home through the chimney than a fire can produce. So, turn the thermostat down when you cozy up in front of the fire. After the smoldering embers are out, close the flue damper to keep warm air in the house.

Outdoor Maintenance Fall Checklist:
*Clean any dirt, leaves, and debris outside the main cabinet.
*Inspect the base pan for blocked drain openings.
*Inspect the coil and cabinet for any holes and leaks.
*Inspect the fan blades while they’re in motion and stationary to determine wear and damage.
*Inspect and clean outside of the control box associated with the unit.
