Sustainability is no longer optional in drug-delivery packaging — it’s a regulatory and operational imperative.

With the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requiring defined levels of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content in non-contact packaging by 2030, transit trays and secondary packaging must now meet clear compliance thresholds.

Last week, we officially opened our Asia-Pacific Technical Development Center located in Singapore.

As a trusted innovation hub for Asia-Pacific’s rapidly growing biomedical and healthcare manufacturing ecosystem, Singapore was a natural choice for the first such facility for Nelipak in the region, which brings together flexible and rigid sterile barrier solutions under one roof.

With strong global connectivity, a robust environment for innovation and a highly skilled talent base, our Asia-Pacific Technical Development Center enables us to support customers across the region with the capabilities of our global manufacturing and innovation network and close local collaboration and support.

During our official opening, the Singapore Economic Development Board also highlighted that our center is “a welcome addition to Singapore’s growing biomedical sciences ecosystem”, strengthening the nation state’s role as a regional hub for medtech innovation.
