Another one in the books. 💪

We officially wrapped up this 325’ private shooting range for a returning customer. We cleared the lane, built a solid backstop berm, cleaned everything up, and turned a vision into a finished project that’s ready to enjoy.

Progress update from today’s shooting range build! 💪

We’re not done yet, but it’s coming together nicely. We’ve cleared roughly 325’ of the 450’ range, leaving about 125’ to finish. After that, it’s just final grading and cleanup to leave the job looking as good as it performs.

Nothing beats seeing a project take shape, especially for a return customer who trusts us to get the job done right. We appreciate the opportunity and can’t wait to share the finished product.

Another project underway for a return customer.

This time we got to bring out the big girl. The CAT 320 is making quick work of clearing, digging, and building a private shooting range with a solid backstop that's built to last.

Here’s a post you probably won’t see from other contractors, because it’s not showing off an accomplishment, or advertising work, it’s actually quite opposite of that.

Not every job goes perfect—and that’s part of doing real work.

This one had some tight quarters getting the machine in and out. I was taking it slow, being careful… and still misjudged it backing up and caught the neighbor’s fence.

No excuses. I went straight to them, owned it, and made it right.

Got a fence company lined up, had a new panel built, and got it installed like it never happened.

Mistakes happen. What matters is how you handle them.

I’m not perfect—but when I mess something up, I’ll make it right. No matter what.

Finished product from yesterday’s job 👇

Took this place from overgrown and cluttered to clean, open, and ready for whatever comes next. Cleared the underbrush, filled a dumpster with trash, stacked and got the debris ready to burn, graded a few high spots, and left it looking clean and organized.

This is the kind of transformation that doesn’t just look better — it makes the land usable again.

Usually I’m the worlds worst about taking before pictures. When I show up to a job, my mindset is “Let’s get this thing knocked out!” Today was almost one of those days, but I was thinking to myself “people might want to see what the job looked like before you get started, not just the finished result”. Knocked out final grade for sod on these two homes 🏡

Got everything shaped, smoothed, and dialed in so the sod crew can roll in and make it look like a golf course. Proper drainage, clean lines, and a solid foundation—because if the dirt work isn’t right, nothing on top of it will be either.

This is the part most people don’t think about… but it’s what makes the finished product stand out.

Big Chief Energy Services had the honor of pulling the McTeggart Irish Dancers of Oklahoma float in today’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. My wife and these girls work hard all year, so it’s awesome seeing them out here celebrating Irish culture and doing what they love. 🇮🇪

Here’s your tech tip for the day from Big Chief Energy Services!

One of the most important things you can do for a machine is also one of the simplest.

Grease it.

Every pivot pin, bushing, and joint on a machine depends on grease to keep metal from grinding against metal. Skip it long enough and those pins start wearing out fast — and that turns into expensive repairs.

A few pumps of grease each day can mean the difference between a machine that lasts 10,000 hours… or one that starts getting sloppy and worn out way too early.

Out here we believe in taking care of the equipment that takes care of us.

And it’s never too early to start learning good habits. Teaching the next generation how to respect the iron.

Grease is cheap. Pins and bushings aren’t.
