SANTA CLAUS... a myth or spirit?
It all depends on what your thoughts are at the time of the great annual holiday season. In fact, to most of us
St. Nicolas a.k.a. Santa Claus is real. St. Nicolas was canonized because of his legendary habit of secret giftgiving,
thus giving him a nickname, Santa Claus. He is now 1,751 years old, and he continues to pass out secrets
that most love to discover.

To me Santa Clause is a spirit, not a myth. My childhood memories cherish these secret gifts and I relentlessly
continue to carry this spirit to our grandson, daughters, sisters, dad, and close family and friends.

Here’s the secret: secret gift-giving does not have to cost anything, but the value of these gifts can go wide and
deep. Your thoughts will be highly appreciated, especially when you know someone that could use a boost
during this highly celebrated season.

How can secret gifts be priceless with a high value?

My previous hometown pastor, Fr. Spies of St. Alphonsus, had given his favorite student, Michael, my
trademark “best kept secret”. Michael was able to reach his passion of building his dream home for his family.
Michael knew that the gift from his friend was highly valuable and took the opportunity, with care and
consideration, to gift his aunt and uncle Joe & Pauline Mikuska the same “secret”. They also have realized their
goals, building a nice aging in-place home not only for themselves, but their aging parents. Joe’s testimony in
part with Pauline’s says “...it so happened that my nephew built a beautiful home and he suggested I talk to his
architect...”.

Their story is a keepsake to me for life, especially as this “no cost” gift was given with heart. Here’s a link to

our clients who successfully achieved their dream home projects.

It does not take much to be a Santa Claus and you do not have to dress like one. Believe in yourself, and others
will carry the tradition on, once experienced through you. Your secret gift-giving is not to reciprocate but to
replicate widely and deeply. Can you imagine what our world would be without Santa Claus?
