President Nathan Fletcher founded Current Alternatives in 2015 to bring high-quality electrical services to the D.C, Maryland and Virginia areas. Upon entering the trade, Fletcher knew he wanted to expand his skillset and eventually own and contract his own company. After committing himself to the Local Union 26 for 8 years, he completed a 5 year apprenticeship with the National Joint Apprenticesh

ip and Training Committee. In 2015, Fletcher received his Master’s Electrician license and began to bring his idea of a company to life. After nearly three years, Current Alternatives has established itself as a corporation of highly professional electricians servicing copious projects. Employees have valued electrical experiences in commercial construction and fit-outs, residential construction and services, and industrial applications such as water treatment facilities and data centers. Now in 2017 and with 15 years of electrical experience, Current Alternatives has built itself into a successful hybrid of new age technology trends and proven old school electrical practices. Recent notable sites serviced include the University of Maryland, University of Baltimore, Bolling Air force Base and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission headquarters. Working with companies like Boulevard Contractors Corporation and Modern Construction, Current Alternatives has established itself as a company of interpersonal and reliable electricians.
