Here is a behind the scenes tour of the hand railings we fabricated for the Crooks Veteran's Park. The whole concept behind the main stair railing was to depict our soldiers on the 'Stairway to Heaven.' Mickey Harris did his magic once again by painting the scene of the soldiers.
We knew we wanted to incorporate the 2 shell casings that Scott Richardson donated, so we surfed the internet and found the 2 projectiles to place in the casings, needless to say, they needed a bit of work to look cool! We got them sanded down on the lathe and King Skull Metal Works took care of the powder coating with the beautiful colors you now see along with the casings.
We finished the railing off with the 2 sayings on the granite slabs that we thought was very fitting to our vision.
This is just another piece we are so proud to have fabricated for the park, we love that we can drive by every day and see the people visiting the park and enjoying it as much as we do.
