Some of you have asked about our name, “Small Dog Weaving Mill”. Is it a vet clinic? Do I sell puppies? Are we a dog groomer? The answer is No! We got the inspiration to name our mill Small Dog Weaving Mill from our 3 very tiny small dogs, 3 chihuahuas, Taco, Tia, and Rossi. Time has passed and Taco and Tia crossed the Rainbow bridge, but Rossi leads the pack now made up of Rossi, Thor, and Lili. They are all rescues. Thor was especially abused by a man who kicked him and threw him when Thor was just a puppy. So when you come to visit, Thor’s the white fuzzball going for your ankles

Being a production weaver while still trying to be an artist takes superhuman powers. Fortunately they developed as a result of my being given some sort of atomic substance during my cancer treatment a few years ago. I had some sort of reaction which only resulted in me being gifted superhuman powers which I am still discovering and still working with to save the world (which may or may not be able to happen since their are so many evil and powerful creatures out there that need to be stopped. A superhero’s work is never done. But I t is a fun adventure! My favorite part so far is the vinyl suit that works like Kim’s ! I’m a couple sizes smaller!! Okay. Back to work!

Weekend road trip to Decorah, Iowa to drop by the Vesterheim Museum Shop to check on my linens being sold there. They were down to one towel, so I left a large selection with them. They are going on their own rack in the shop!
My besties AKA The String Gang (knitters, weavers, jewelry designers. . . artists all) joined me on the trek. We all required some relaxation and fun since the political scene has been heavy on all our minds. Always a good time with best friends!!

The American Swedish Institute’s Julmarknad Fest was a roaring success!! I LOVE that show! I LOVE the people who attend and I LOVE the staff and the philosophy of ongoing personal kindness and care that they show their whole community.
