Sorry Folks...

It's with a heavy heart, and sadness that i must convey the closing of T.C.H.A for the foreseeable future due to the horrific stroke my wife had August 18th 2021..

I took pride, and was honored to be the guy whom many of you called upon in your time of need for your heat/air, whether it was 3am on a humid hot summers night, or 10pm on a 5* cold blistery January night with 3" of snow on the ground.

I sure did.

I met so many people, good people, and many who was so happy to have someone to lean upon, or be there for them when others couldn't or wouldn't.

But now i just cannot do it... I tried to make things work when Courtney came back, but it was just too much, on top of that i have been dealing with whatever since even before her stroke and am trying to get better myself.

So with a heavy heart, i must say until further notice we are closed.

Maybe if things change in the future, or Courtney is miraculously healed or made better, but until then she is first and foremost for me.. Healing's happen... But that is up to God and on his time......

If you are angry, upset, mad, etc.. I understand.. I say (JOIN HE CROWD)!! Feel free to reach out to ARH and more specifically Jameel Butt as they pretty much caused all of it when they had no less than (5 YEARS) to find/catch it, fix it, or send her to someone who could, etc.

Just wanted to say (THANK YOU) to all who has stuck with us during the past year with Courtney's stroke and all.

It's not been easy... And the forced scaling back really didn't help things either...

However.. If you live from Putney to Eolia we are always but a phone call away 90% of the time!!!

Any other places will most likely be the following or next day unfortunately. As i have to plan someone to sit with her for places further away for safety reasons....

But again we thank you all for being so understanding during all of this over the past 2 years, and i look forward to seeing you all as summertime heat is just around the corner!

I always tell people the Rheem/Ruud is the (SAME THING)...

Here is a pic showing it.. (LITERALLY) the (ONLY) difference is the round removable logo on it! THAT'S IT!

In fact, the door stickers clearly say.. "RHEEM MANAFACTURING" on them!!

I have (NO IDEAL) on why companies do this!!

But make no mistake.. They are (TOP NOTCH) and do their job well!!

DON'T DO THIS!!

Change the cheap 1" types every 30 (DAYS) unless you have the 5" Hepa filter type.. Those you change every 6mo to 1yr...

***WARNING***

If you plan to buy a new "HEAT PUMP-AC SYSTEM" for your home, and the indoor evaporator or "A-COIL" looks like the one in the picture... Tell them to (STOP) and to take that junk somewhere else!!!!

"MICRO CHANNEL" coils are (JUNK)!!!

They are basically a "CAR RADIATOR" that some in the HVAC industry has decided to try and use for high temperature and pressure refrigerants in use today which leads and has lead all Mfg's who tried it to disaster!!

These coils (CANNOT) handle the high pressures of newer refrigerants in use today and will eventually burst and start to leak after some normal use..

(ALWAYS) make sure your installing company uses "COILS" that have the normal small tubes on the ends of the coil whether aluminum or copper.. (ALUMINUM PREFERRED) due to corrosion resistance for indoor coil types!

See attached photos to understand differences and what to look for!

We at T.C.H.A (ALWAYS) install normal "TUBE & FIN" coils and will (NEVER) install nor sell junk "Micro Channel" garbage as we have seen units installed by some companies with less than 2yr of age on them with (MULTIPLE) leaks thus requiring replacement!

If your installer tries to put one of these in your home, kindly ask them to stop, and if they refuse to install a normal tube and fin type ask them to leave and call someone else!!

Trust us when we say, (YOU'RE FAR BATTER OFF)!!!

POLICY UPDATE...

If you ask us to go and order a HP system for you, and then cancel after we have said system delivered and ready for install at your home, there will be a $200.00 "RETURN FEE" non negotiable!!

Due to the current economy, gas prices, and cost increases, we will be enforcing this policy going forward.

We apologize but we cannot allow losses of labor, fuel costs etc all for someone simply changing their minds etc.

***T.C.H.A POLICY CHANGE***

Any "SYSTEMS/UNITS" that are (NOT) under "MANUFACTURER WARRANTY" and that has a leak or is leaking refrigerant.. Will (NOT) have the "leak point" repaired nor will we attempt to repair it unless it is part of the larger refrigerant piping....

We can offer the particular "leaking part" to be replaced in whole, but no attempt to repair the leak itself can be made. I.E CONDENSER, EVAPORATOR, SERVICE VALVES, ETC.

We have come to this decision due to condenser and evaporator coils in systems having Blockages due to contaminants from when they was incorrectly installed by the original dealer.

These "contaminants" move through the system over the years due to the way they was installed incorrectly thus allowing a "BLOCKAGE" to occur which eventually plugs off the tube and then "over pressures and bursts" the tube etc.

It's sad we have to do this, but Certain MFG's keep making these condenser/evaporator tubes thinner and smaller thus barley thick enough to carry said high pressures of the new 410-A systems.. MFG's are using the small and thin (5mm-8mm) tubing, thus creating an UN-repairable part if/when it eventually fails..

Thus far, the Rheem/Ruud brand has kept the original larger/bigger and tougher original thick 3/8 tubing, which is why we stand behind it so adamantly. It's one of the best systems going today.

Also, it's a "NO WIN" situation for you the homeowner, and us the repairing contractor if we try to fix a leak in said small tubing, then weeks to months later it starts a new one elsewhere or further up the copper/aluminum tubing in the same part!! That is what is called a (MONEY PIT)!!! We (REFUSE) to take part in it for you the homeowner and us, the repairing/servicing contractor....

So to recap.. (ANY) system (NOT) under warranty, that has a leak or has developed a leak in a sensitive component, I.E CONDENSER, EVAPORATOR, etc. Can only be fixed/repaired by replacing said leaking whole part! Again, only larger normal thickness copper tubing can be even attempted to be repaired if requested..

This saves you the heartache and ultimately money of avoiding a money pit scenario, and saves us the time and heartache of trying to repair something that can't be fixed ultimately due MFG's trying to save a penny or two.
