Dangerous cold & snow coming to the state next week with another arctic blast. The polar front arrives Monday night bringing in falling temps, strong north winds, & snow across the state. Temps will be in the teens by Tuesday afternoon with snow. Snow totals are too early to nail down but if we get at least a couple inches. Highs on Wednesday could not even reach the double digits with wind chills well below zero. We could remain below freezing for over 108 hours during this cold snap. -- Justin

🥶More cold air is on the way....:

This long-range forecast map shows a strong signal for cold air to move in through the January 19-25 period. It’s relatively rare to see anomalies this intense at this range on a 50+ member ensemble nine days out. This is some serious cold straight from Siberia.

That said, the specifics of whether we will have winter storms/severe weather on top of this are still highly uncertain this far out.
