Our 81st Annual Meeting reminded us what makes cooperatives unique—our members have a voice in shaping our future.
Congratulations to our re-elected board members: Alan Bishop, Dennis Quivey, and Thad Wasson. We are grateful for your commitment and dedication to BHEC.
A special thanks to our employees, your hard work played a huge role in making the meeting a success.

Alan was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2011 and represents Custer and Oglala Lakota counties and currently serves as Assistant Secretary. Thank you for your commitment, leadership, and service to our cooperative and its members!

Please join us in welcoming Gavyn Buchholz to the team at Black Hills Electric Cooperative!
A Black Hills native from Hill City, Gavyn has filled our 1,000-hour Line Worker position. He brings valuable training from Mitchell Technical College. We are excited to have Gavyn on board and look forward to the skills, energy, and fresh perspective he brings to our crew. Plus, we’re pretty sure he’s helping lower our average employee age a little, too!
