Position Summary:
FX Drilling Company is seeking an experienced Lease Operator to support oil and gas field operations in the Cut Bank, Montana area. The Lease Operator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining production equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and optimizing production on assigned wells.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily operational checks on wells, separators, injection pumps, and other field equipment.
• Monitor production data and troubleshoot mechanical or process-related issues.
• Record accurate tank gauging, meter readings, and fluid levels.
• Coordinate oil and water hauls; prepare tanks for sale and ensure timely fluid dispatch.
• Maintain site cleanliness, functionality, and safety per company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and perform basic repairs to equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, landowners, and field staff.
• Work in all weather conditions and safely operate company vehicles.

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lease Operator or Pumper in oil & gas.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Proficient with basic computer systems.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work overtime and be available for emergency call-outs.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with plunger lifts, heater treaters, and pump jacks.
• Previous experience in the Cut Bank region or similar field conditions.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
• Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and remote work locations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and operating tools or equipment.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including fire-resistant clothing and respirators when required.
