Now Hiring: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Falls Stamping & Welding is actively seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. This is a critical hands-on role supporting our manufacturing operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment.

What you’ll do:
• Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on stamping equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery to minimize downtime
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

What we’re looking for:
• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

🔧 What You’ll Do:
✅ Inspect incoming & outgoing products
✅ Perform floor audits & machine inspections
✅ Read blueprints & understand GD&T
✅ Use standard & metric measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
✅ Assist with prototype & final inspections
✅ Support quality projects with management
✅ Verify operator inspection requirements are being followed

Parts could weight up to 10 pounds or more in this department.

We run 10 hour shifts Monday to Thursday and usually 8 hour shifts on Friday and Saturday with an occasional Sunday shift. Saturday and usually rotated in groups of 4.

The operator will be required to be standing up most of the time.

Like normal welding, smoke is present. The spot welders on the other hand let off minimal smoke.

Set up operator is required to walk to and from Quality office to confirm set up dimensions are in spec. for each Spot welder in use. (Up to 5 spot welders)

Set up person will verify that the operator is trained to run the parts

Clean up around the spot welders

Call forklift to move parts, which requires walking to the phone and back to spot welding.

The operator is required to remove burrs off the edges of parts.

All operator will make sure all skids are tagged properly.

The Set up person will need to verify the part is acceptable before taking it to quality

Operators will paint dot each nut on the part to ensure there are no missing nuts

Operator must be able to perform the destruction test on straps. This means you take a strap and hit it repeatedly in a vice with an air hammer (vibrations are similar to a jack hammer). This could take up to 400 hits in about 6 minutes and is done about once every hour.

Some of the dies that are used to set up spot welding can weight up to 30 pounds.
