Your thermostat has something to say…

“Stop blaming me for everything.” 😅

A lot of comfort problems get pinned on the thermostat, but the truth is, it’s often just reporting what’s going on.

If your home feels uncomfortable, the real issue might be something else, like:

- poor airflow
- humidity problems
- ductwork issues
- blocked vents
- system sizing
- equipment not performing properly

So yes, sometimes the thermostat matters… but it’s not always the one causing the trouble.

Should You Close HVAC Vents in Unused Rooms?

It seems like a smart way to save energy: if nobody’s using the room, just close the vent… right?

Not always.

Your HVAC system is designed to move a certain amount of air throughout the home. Closing too many vents can disrupt that airflow, increase pressure in the ductwork, and sometimes make the system work harder instead of helping it.
