Dear (current and future) Home Buyers,
the National Association of Realtors (NAR) has established new rules that every Realtor has to follow across the country. The bottom line is transparency.
There is a lot of “chatter” among the real estate community regarding these changes. One major change is Realtors who show you properties will now be REQUIRED to have a document signed before entering the home. The document is to make the buyer aware of the type of representation (represented or unrepresented) and any fees that MAY be associated with the transaction. Once signed, you may tour the home with a Realtor. The form will spell out the details of the relationship and is not meant to “scare” anyone. These forms are for the consumers and are meant to show full transparency.
