No two slabs are the same, and you don’t really get that until you’re standing next to one at the factory.

The veining. The way the light hits it once it’s polished. The dust on everything while it’s being worked. This is the part nobody sees, and it’s one of our favorite parts of the job.

These pieces are headed for a project close to home. Can’t wait to see them in place.

Some projects you can tell are going to be special from the very first conversation. Those are the ones where we want the right people around the table early.

Rachel is one of them. We bring collaborators like her in from the start, and our own team works right alongside them through design and procurement, well before anyone picks up a tool on site.

By the time we’re building, we’ve already worked through the hard stuff together. And the finished space still looks like what everyone pictured at the beginning.

Mezquite Group has been named a 2026 SMU Cox Dallas 100™️ honoree, recognized among the fastest-growing companies in North Texas.

That growth was built one occupied property at a time. Hotels that stayed open through renovation. Healthcare spaces that kept running while our crews worked around them. Owners who trusted us inside their revenue-producing assets.

We want to be clear about who this belongs to.

It belongs to the crews who set up before the first guest came downstairs and broke down before the last one came back. To the superintendents who treated a hotel lobby like a revenue-producing asset, not a job site. To the owners and operators who trusted us inside buildings that could not afford to close.
