Welder/Fabricator for our Sister Company CKPS

We are seeking a qualified Welder/Fabricator to fill a full time position within our company.
Ornamental metal
Applicant should meet the following requirements:
1 – Have their own transportation to and from work
2 – Be able to handle overtime when needed
3 – Be able to lift 40lbs repeatedly
4 – Have their own PPE (Welding Helmet) and be able to properly use their PPE
Shield must meet or exceed ANSI Z87
5 – Be able to read Shop Drawings and fabricate independently from the plans
6 – Be able to cut and shape metal using the appropriate tools, grinder, cold saw etc…
7 – Be Familiar with GMAW Process, (GTAW/SMAW not required but a plus)
8 – Maintain a Clean and Safe work environment
Compensation $20 - $25/hr depending on ability and experience

All applicants must be willing to demonstrate their ability in person

Job Description

United Glass Ventures, LLC. is seeking candidates to immediately fill open field positions as a glazier. All candidates should be qualified with sufficient glazing experience. Additional qualifications and relevant qualifications include, but are not limited to:

- Comprehension of commercial fenestration and glazing and systems such as storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and aluminum framed entrances.

- Candidates must be familiar with stick-built fabrication and installation of these systems, including proper sealant applications and waterproofing methods.

- Candidates must be familiar with handling glass and must have proper training using glass handling equipment or tools.

- Candidates must be familiar with all Glaziers hand tools, and any power tool required to perform the previously outlined scope of work.

- Candidates must be able to read and comprehend Architectural drawings, and shop drawings.

- Candidates must be able to clearly communicate any changes or deviations to shop drawings to their appropriate supervisor.

- Candidates must possess a minimum of OSHA 10, and be familiar or trained with fall protection equipment.

- Candidates should be comfortable working at heights in excess of 6ft to multiple stories above ground.

- Candidates are required to be able to repeatedly lift 40lbs solo, and weight in excess of 40lbs as a member of a team.

- Candidates are required to maintain a clean and neat work environment. They are also expected to maintain proper storage and care of their tools or tools provided.

- Payrate will be determined based on skillset, experience, and performance.

- Candidates are expected to arrive at work on time and take breaks only during the approved time windows.

- Candidates are expected to travel to projects sites in NY, NJ, CT, MD, DC, & PA.

Door Mechanic Wanted:

United Glass Ventures, LLC, is a commercial glass and glazing company located in Dallas, Pennsylvania, and is currently seeking a competent and experienced door mechanic. This position offers competitive pay rates starting at $20.00/hr+ and is a full-time position.

In order to qualify for this position the applicant must be able to meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Ability to read/follow door hardware schedules, architectural plans, and specifications
- Ability to read installation instructions, and follow installation templates
- Familiarity with commercial door hardware including, but not limited to: Von Duprin, Falcon, CRL, Stanley, Assa Abloy, Norton, Hager
- Experience installing or prepping blank door leafs with door hardware including, but not limited to: Concealed vertical rod exit device, rim panic exit device, latch locks, push and pull bars, door lever, and paddle latch control, deadlocks, lock cylinders, surface mount closers (all positions), concealed overhead closers, electric power transfers, continuous hinged, butt hinges, etc.
- Ability to work independently (unsupervised) while accomplishing daily/weekly goals.
- Capable of repetitious lifting (30lbs)
