Sustainable Pavement Technologies Sustainable Pavement Technologies (SPT) is a green technology firm specializing in reusing construct

SPT operates processing centers and shingle drop-off locations across the United States where area roofing contractors and home owners can recycle their shingles instead of taking them to the landfill. This allows roofers and home owners to ensure a re-usable oil-based product does not end up in our landfills and significantly saves on disposal costs. We like to interact with the community and pro

vide education on the latest developments in our efforts to divert asphalt material waste from the landfill. For regular updates on new locations near you, promotional events, and other opportunities, please follow us!

What makes this road special?

It was made with 100% recycled road aggregates, including old asphalt pavement and old asphalt roofing shingles.

It was mixed in a specially designed plant that doesn’t require the addition of heat.

It was placed and compacted by a county road crew without the use of a modern paver.

And it is holding up great, despite the 100+ degree heat Texas is experiencing this summer.
