NIBA is bringing "Key Principles and Best Practices for Lightweight Conveyor Belts" back to Latin America - NIBA will offer its next Spanish-language technical seminar in Toluca, Mexico, June 16-17, 2026. The two-day course will cover core topics including definitions and basic types of lightweight conveyor belts, traditional belts, compounds and coatings, specialty belts, monolithic/homogeneous belts and splicing methods for traditional belts.

The seminar will be hosted by Flexco de México S.A. de C.V. and is open to both NIBA members and non-members.

Meet the NIBA Technical Trainer, Steve Tate, Sales, Application & Training Specialist, Viacore!

Steve began in the belting industry in 1989 working for distribution in the Appalachian coal fields. Starting in the belt shop and moving up through the ranks in field service, he found a love for problem solving that allowed him to go beyond the service truck and into sales. Steve now spends his time with Viacore as a corporate service training specialist and as a technical solutions specialist for mining in the Appalachian coal region.

Steve will be teaching in NIBA's upcoming Heavyweight Belting sessions.
