Food Truck Fridays have been a great opportunity to bring our team together, show our appreciation for their hard work, and enjoy some incredible local food along the way. A family-run company based in Danbury that has taken over a shopping plaza on Stony Hill Road plans a $1.5 million upgrade to capitalize on the growth of the mixed-use corridor.

“We want to work with our tenants to keep them but improve the property — the parking lot, the site lighting, the facade, the curbside appeal,” said Antony Rizzo Jr., president of Rizzo Companies, referring to the Mountain Laurel Plaza.

The downside is that the plaza has been undermaintained and allowed to age. The upside is that it’s within a half mile of hundreds of new apartments that have been approved, built or proposed, including the 137-unit complex next door called the Grand at Stony Hill.

We kicked off our first Food Truck Friday of the month with an amazing start— great food from Dish It Right Here and an even better time with our team!

The turnout was fantastic, and the food, as usual, did not disappoint! It’s always great to take a moment to connect, enjoy a good meal, and show appreciation for the hard work our team puts in every day.
