This week, Carmicle Sons Masonry completed a full tuckpointing, recap, and water seal on these two historic stone chimneys. We restored the mortar joints, replaced the chimney caps, and applied water repellent to help protect the masonry while keeping their original character.

This was a massive project! Our crew sawed out approximately 3,000 square feet of deteriorated mortar joints throughout the brick patios, pool area, walkways, and outdoor living spaces.

After removing the old mortar, we thoroughly cleaned the joints, installed new mortar, tooled everything for a clean finish, and washed the brick to bring back its natural color. The new joints don’t just make the property look better—they also strengthen the brickwork and help protect it from water damage and further deterioration.

A lot of time, dust, and hard work went into restoring this beautiful property, but the finished result made it all worth it!
