We removed the damaged sections, rebuilt it back solid, and installed a brand new masonry cap along with a metal flue cap to protect it from water and debris.

Next step: acid wash and water seal in the morning to lock everything in and keep this chimney protected for years 💪🔥

Pretty cool find today 👀 — while removing the chimney cap, our crew found a 1994 penny the original mason placed inside when it was built 💰🪙
It’s always interesting seeing little pieces of history like that… almost like a timestamp from when the job was first done 🕰️

On today’s progress 🔥 — we’re tearing off the chimney veneer on the first chimney to get it fully prepped for a proper rebuild 💪
