This summer we decided we will not only be featuring a weekly stand out home but also one of our Community! ✨
This week’s community of the week is the rapidly expanding city of Altoona where some of our homes are located in the lovely Tuscany neighborhood and near by (in Des Moines) Brook Landing neighborhoods! 🏡
What makes Altoona the perfect place to call home? Let’s take a look!
✨ Adventureland park is the perfect place for fun filled days with over 100 rides like the “Tornado”, “Outlaw” and “Flying Viking” ! There is also a waterpark, Adventure Bay, for those who prefer relaxing by the pool, lazy river or going down a few slides! ☀️😎
✨Prairie meadows is a Casino and Racetrack that opened in 1989, which is one of only two non profit casinos in the entire country. Their goal is to promote economic development, jobs and tourism to the great state of Iowa! They not only offer non stop casino action but also live musical acts, full service dinning, weddings and convention/meeting space for businesses! 🐎
✨ Olde Town Altoona is the historic downtown district, official founded in 1868 and incorporated in 1876, this gorgeous downtown area offers shopping, dinning, weekly and seasonal markets. Bonus: the city is filled with gorgeous murals that really add to the overall charm and “not so small” small town vibe! 🛍️🍔🍦
✨Speaking of shopping, Altoona is home to the Des Moines outlet mall! I mean what’s better than an afternoon walking through businesses like Bass Pro Shop, Nike, Kate Spade, Michael Kors…and so many more! 👕👖👗
