Water - Sustainable management of surface water and groundwater is core to our vision and the services we offer. Infrastructure - We collaborate closely with our clients to plan, design, build, and operate the infrastructure needed to improve water systems. Technology - We are passionate about collecting, managing, modeling, analyzing, and visualizing data to tell the stories of our water systems.

Our DE team enjoyed taking part in the 2026 Annual California Rice Field Day at the Rice Experiment Station in Biggs, California.

The event featured several rice growers, researchers, and industry partners to explore ongoing work in rice variety development, agronomy and fertility, disease and insect management, and w**d control.

Thank you to the California Cooperative Rice Research Foundation and University of California for sponsoring this fun and informative day!

We're proud to see the completion of the Chowchilla Bypass Recharge for Subsidence and Flood Risk Reduction Project, a major groundwater recharge effort led by Madera County Groundwater Sustainability Agency.

This initiative includes two similar recharge projects that convey floodwater through reinforced concrete turnout structures, fish screens, pipelines, and pump stations into dedicated recharge basins and managed agricultural lands, helping replenish critically overdrafted aquifers.

DE, supported by a team of subconsultants, provided CEQA compliance, permitting, design, and construction management services for both recharge facilities.

These projects represent Madera County GSA's first large-scale recharge construction efforts and were made possible through SGM grant funding and partnerships between the GSA and local landowners.

From intern to full-time team member! This past winter, Corbin Vincent joined DE as an intern while completing his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Chico. After graduating this spring, Corbin has officially joined our Chico office as an Assistant Engineer.

We recently put our new Surfbee autonomous boat to the test! Using it alongside our SonTek ADCPs, we're able to collect more consistent transects and measurements in fast-moving water. One of the biggest benefits is gaining access to areas that have been challenging to measure accurately in the past.
