UDMRT Update - October 2023

This year, we are pushing hard toward the Canadian International Rover Challenge, this Summer of 2024. Our team has grown to 28 members, all working for one goal.

The Build Team has developed a full redesign of the rover's chassis to support the needs of both the computer team and science team. The Computer Team has made great strides in motor control, sensor processing, the rover's power system, and much more. The Science Team, built from the ground up this year, has made great progress carrying out research and developing the testing procedures necessary for CIRC.

Here's some pictures of our computer team hard at work developing code for vision tracking, LIDAR, and long range communications for our rover which will allow us to control it and receive information from it. We still have a ways to go but we are making significant progress!

Here some pictures from a volunteer opportunity with local organization Wagtown that UDMRT participated in September! We helped paint paw prints through a neighborhood to connect two local parks.
