Norwood Medical applies a top-to-bottom approach to quality process excellence through the Six Sigma methodology. Norwood Medical employs a certified Black Belt trainer who provides an organizational approach to quality and increased dedication to providing immediate corrective action in areas that need improvement. Many senior managers, quality engineers, and plant managers have achieved Black Belt or Green Belt certification, and many other employees have completed White Belt training to help instill quality practices in daily operations. In addition, custom training programs are developed to provide specific information on the medical industry supply chain.

On Friday March 22nd, we had the opportunity to host 12 students from Greene County Career Center's Advanced Engineering Systems Program and their Robotics & Automation Program.

Students rotated to 6 different stations to learn about all of the magic we do at Norwood Medical! The students showed genuine interest as they walked through Die Design & Build, Special Machining, Programming, Robotics Implementation Projects, and more.

We are excited to collaborate with GCCC on future internships, onsite tours, and industry partnerships on future workforce manufacturing opportunities.

Thank you to all of the employees to helped contribute their time and expertise to make this event memorable for the students and for Norwood!

Norwood Medical had an awesome opportunity to visit Walter E. Stebbins High School’s Junior manufacturing class today. The visit was exceptionally positive and our engagement with the students and staff was inspiring.

The students showed genuine interest and enthusiasm during our presentation. They actively participated in discussions and asked great questions about career opportunities in the medical manufacturing industry. Our discussion about various career paths within Norwood Medical resonated well with the students. We emphasized the importance of acquiring relevant skills, on the job training, and the potential for career advancement and personal growth.

Overall, our visit was a success. We are excited about the potential for future collaboration and engagement with the school (internships, onsite tours, industry partnerships, etc.) to further support the students’ educational and career development.

Norwood Medical was honored to have Dayton Mayor Jeff Mims and Dayton City Manager Shelley Dickstein join our groundbreaking celebration as we begin construction on our 11th manufacturing facility.

This new facility will open by Q1 2024 and encompass 72,000 square feet of medical device manufacturing space and increase our campus footprint by 10% to 725,000 square feet. Building 11 will be our 8th expansion in the past 15 years and will include some of the most advanced medical manufacturing technologies in the industry to support our medical device customers.. This expansion will also create approximately 100 new jobs right here in Dayton, Ohio.

Thank you to all who attended our celebration and thank you to all of our Norwood Medical employees who put their hands, hearts and minds to work every day to manufacture quality parts that improve surgical outcomes and patient care!
