Celebrating Jeff Hombach and his 35 Years with CRH!

Jeff started with Pennsy Supply Quarry back in the early 1930’s aka 1991, when they still used dinosaurs to move material. After CRH bought Pennsy in 1993, he stayed until moving to Florida in 2017 to join Preferred Concrete, then transferred to CYD in 2018. Since then, he’s been a key East Coast asset, running loaders, handling tickets, unloading trains, and doing it all.

In honor of Earth Day, the EHS team led a hands-on activity building bug boxes to support local ecosystems. Designed to give Florida native bees a safe place to nest, these will be placed across multiple locations, including Gautier, Mississippi; Orlando; Odessa; Jacksonville; and DeBary. It’s something we’re proud of, not just the work itself, but what it reflects about our commitment to environmental care and the shared effort behind it.

Earlier this month, we welcomed Jason Jackson, President of Americas Materials at CRH to several of our sites across Florida.

During the tour, we showcased a variety of our operations – from our ready‑mixed concrete, gunite and block manufacturing plants in Odessa to our asphalt QC lab, production plant and rail terminal in Tampa and our training facility in Orlando – that play a critical role in modernizing infrastructure across the state.

As a leading provider of building materials, hosting these visits provides a great opportunity for us to recognize our teams who move our business forward and help shape communities for a better tomorrow.
