Another new library taking shape!

Our team provided structural engineering services for this new 12,000-square-foot public library, featuring light-framed wood construction with exposed heavy timber framing at the exterior decks and porches. The structural design was carefully coordinated with large storefront windows, stone veneer, and exposed timber elements that help define the building’s character.

We enjoyed working with TSW Design to develop an efficient structural system that supports both the library’s functional needs and architectural vision.

We enjoyed providing structural engineering for The Westwood on Ralph David Abernathy, a local spot designed with all the character of a classic dive.

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks with several clients featured on Atlanta ByDesign.

It was great to be a part of the renovations for Johns Homestead Park in Tucker, Georgia. We assisted with several features including the distinctive V-shaped fishing pier, boardwalk approaches and foundations, pedestrian bridge abutments, and coordinated with on structural details and prefabricated bridge systems.

We’re proud to share that COHAB.SPACE Building 1 has received a 2026 Gertrude S. Carraway Award of Merit from Preservation North Carolina, recognizing outstanding commitment to historic preservation.

We helped transform this portion of the historic mill through targeted structural reinforcement, which allowed more than 90% of the original structural frame to be retained, and brought the century-old building up to modern code and high-occupancy requirements.

We’re honored to have contributed to the preservation and next chapter of this High Point landmark. Congratulations to .Space and the entire project team!

To continue our spotlight on historic projects in recognition of America's 250th anniversary, we're highlighting an exceptional adaptive reuse project: Loray Mill in Gastonia, North Carolina. We were honored to contribute to the renovation of this remarkable landmark, helping preserve a building that has played an important role in industrial and labor history. Today, the mill has been transformed into a vibrant mixed-use destination that preserves the architectural character that tells its fascinating story.

The project was recognized with a 2024 Gertrude S. Carraway Award of Merit from Preservation North Carolina, honoring the successful preservation and rehabilitation of this historic property.
