Check out this basement remodel we did in

📍 Springfield, OH 📍

Lots of hard work went into making this basment a new highlight of this home. Some features include:

- A full bathroom outfitted with mosaic flooring, a fully custom shower with a unique and elegant diamond tile that we set to resemble 3D cubes, custom glass, and deep black granite curbs. Also, no posh bathroom is complete these days without a freestanding tub.

- A new kitchenette/wet bar area for entertaining guests

- A fireplace in the living room area

Mosaic floors are incredibly challenging to get just right and perfectly flat. Most timber framed floors deviate around 1/8”-1/4” and even more in extreme cases. Mosaics are more like a fabric than a tile when you’re setting them, and thus, they hug every single contour of the floor. To add another degree of difficulty, if you try to compensate for the deviation with your thin-set, it squirts through your grout lines and makes for a ton of extra work and in some cases a less than desirable result. Sometimes days of prep work goes into a tile install that only takes 2 hours, but the payoff is worth it in my opinion.

Something other than subway tiles! This shower was really challenging. The walls were out of square/plumb by a mile. I had almost 2 days in prep work before I laid a single tile. Turned out great, though. We added some custom glass, and finished the rest of the bathroom as well.

I had so much fun tiling this basement bathroom. White on white subways, marble mosaic floor, exposed plumbing.

A Kitchen we remodeled in Deer Park last spring! Some highlights of this project include removing a load-bearing wall and installing a laminated beam to achieve the open concept, adding new laminated wood flooring, installing new cabinetry with beautiful granite countertops, and a new tile backsplash, and a major lighting upgrade. We also gained some pretty solid friends in Fudge and Dianne along the way.

In the final phases of this covered porch addition in Madeira! All in all this turned out to be a fairly large project including:

-Framing a new awning and tying it into the existing structure
-installing a brand new roof on the entire house
-pressure washing, sanding, and painting the entire house
-adding bead board and column/beam wraps
-painting the new addition
-installing new gutters

Last on the list is staining the peak to match the new door which will be installed this week.

Complete Kitchen remodel we finished a few weeks ago in Hyde Park for an awesome customer.
