MWI Pumps - Celebrating 100 Years of Innovation (1926-2026)

08/31/2026

As part of MWI Pumps’ 100th year of business, we’re proud to spotlight the people who have helped build our legacy.

In our final video with Tom Roegiers, Vice President of Accounting/Finance, he reflects on his 40+ year journey and the future of MWI Pumps.

“We’ve lasted a hundred… there’s no reason we can’t last another hundred.”
For Tom, the mission is simple but powerful.

“What’s the most precious resource that this world has? Water.”

From rural villages without infrastructure to communities in need of reliable water access, Tom highlights the real impact of what MWI does every day… delivering water where it’s needed most, even without electricity or existing systems.

“We are managers of the most precious resource that we have.”
It’s more than pumps. It’s purpose.

Whether it’s supporting global communities or solving complex water challenges, Tom believes the work MWI Pumps does will always matter, because water will always matter.

And for the next 100 years?

“We’re going to solve as many of those problems as we can.”

Strong companies don’t just grow, they’re guided by generations of values.

As MWI Pumps continues its 100-year celebration, Daren Eller, Vice President of Operations and fourth-generation owner, reflects on the principles passed down from his father, David Eller, former President of MWI.

From an early age, Daren learned that leadership starts with faith, humility, and treating people the right way. Those values weren’t just words, they became the Core Values foundation of how MWI operates and continues to grow today.

He also shares how each generation, and each family member, brings unique strengths to the table, building on the legacy while moving the company forward together.

Because true legacy isn’t just about what you inherit… it’s about what you carry forward.

When others couldn’t figure it out… Reuben did.

As MWI Pumps celebrates 100 years, we’re continuing to share the stories of the people who turn challenges into solutions. Service Technician Reuben Durrant is known for stepping into the toughest situations and walking out with results.

On a critical project in Bimini, what stumped everyone else took Reuben just 45 minutes to diagnose and fix. The impact? The system fired right up… and they made sure he stayed, just in case.

But his legacy goes beyond repairs. From designing early Rotoflo™ tank concepts to working on system improvements, Reuben’s hands-on knowledge has helped shape real innovation at MWI.

And through it all, his perspective stays grounded… grateful for the time, the work, and the opportunity to leave things better than he found them.

As part of MWI Pumps’ 100th year of business, we’re closing out our weekly spotlight on Jim Endres, Engineer, reflecting on his 40+ year career with MWI Pumps.

In this clip, Jim shares a mindset that helped shape a century of innovation: never accept “that’s the way we’ve always done it.” By asking why, understanding the reason behind past decisions, and making improvements when it matters, MWI Pumps has continued to grow, evolve, and lead. As Jim says, “it’s been a long haul, and there’s more to come.”

As part of MWI Pumps’ 100th year of business, here's another spotlight featuring Norman Ford, Purchasing Manager.

In this clip, Norman shares a few lighthearted stories from the early days, reminding us that while the workplace has evolved, one thing has remained the same: people enjoy working here. MWI gets the job done, but the team also has fun along the way. Strong relationships, shared laughs, and respect for one another are why so many employees choose to build long careers here.

As part of MWI Pumps’ 100th year of business, we’re proud to spotlight the people who have helped build our legacy. We wrap up with Ed Saurazas, Engineer, as he reflects on his remarkable journey with MWI Pumps.

One story says it all.

Ed recalls arriving at a pump station startup with everything riding on the moment — the mayor set to cut the ribbon, news crews lining up their cameras, contractors on edge… and pumps that had never been started before.

First pump? Locked up.
Second pump? Locked up.
Third pump? We got one!

With media outside and pressure mounting, there was no room for panic, only problem-solving.

Thinking fast, Ed and Jim made it work. Engines revved. Water rolled out from beneath the pump station. From the outside, it looked flawless.

“And guess what… we pulled it off!”

That’s the kind of real-world engineering, composure under pressure, and field ingenuity that defines MWI Pumps… especially when working with critical infrastructure and lineshaft pump systems.

100 years strong isn’t built in a boardroom. It’s built in moments like these.

Long before the title, there were lessons.

As MWI Pumps continues celebrating 100 years, we take a closer look at the early experiences that helped shape today’s leaders. Daren Eller, Vice President of Operations, reflects on what it was like growing up around the business and the moments that left a lasting impact.

From witnessing milestones like the test tank dedication to working alongside adults at just 13 years old, those early days weren’t just about learning the business, they were about learning people, responsibility, and discipline.

Clocking in. Showing up on time. Putting in the work. Earning respect… They are all simple lessons, but the kind that build a foundation for leadership. Because at MWI, legacy isn’t just passed down, it’s learned, lived, and earned over time.
