Big news from our parent company WRG! 🏗️
We've been ranked #330 on the 2026 ENR Top 400 Contractors list - a national ranking that recognizes the top construction companies in the country.
This wouldn't be possible without the incredible work of our teams across the Rocky Mountain and Upper Midwest, or the continued support of the clients and communities we're proud to serve.
Thank you for being part of our story. More to come later this year when the ENR Regional rankings are released!

We’re proud to share that WRG and its affiliates have been ranked #330 on the 2026 Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 400 Contractors list. ENR’s Top 400 is the national scorecard for the construction industry – a ranking of the companies doing the biggest, most consequential work across the co...

This week is Construction Safety Week, and Rice Lake Construction is "All In Together".

Safety isn't a program we run during a designated week. It's how we plan, how we build, and show up for the people on our sites and the communities we build for.

This week we're joining the industry in focusing on what it takes to recognize hazards, respond with intention, and respect every person in the field.

We’re proud to see Sam Saillot recognized during Women in Construction Week.
Sam’s leadership continues to strengthen our VDC program and the talented team she leads. This work helps our crews visualize, coordinate, and deliver complex projects with greater clarity and confidence.
Well-deserved recognition, Sam.

Sam Saillot's interest in construction and engineering began in middle school, when a technology education teacher introduced her to drafting, metal shop, and woodworking. The experience sparked a curiosity about how things are built, one that eventually led her to pursue an engineering degree and a passion for water and wastewater infrastructure.

Sam began her career in the field on a pile driving crew, where she gained firsthand experience working alongside seasoned tradespeople. That experience helped shape her approach to construction and collaboration in the field.

Today, Sam is the Director of Virtual Design and Construction at Rice Lake Construction Group, where she leads a team that creates detailed 3D models to help crews visualize complex structures and solve problems before they reach the jobsite. Her work helps bridge the gap between engineering plans and construction in the field, making projects run more smoothly from start to finish. Here’s a little sneak peek of the construction progress at St. Joseph’s Church in !
Last week, our crew set the bell in place with a coordinated crane lift. (As you can see, navigating in this limited space emphasizes the importance of accurate crane signals and special attention to safety measures for all involved.)
A bit of history... the bell was manufactured in 1937 by McShane Bell Foundry. Once removed from the existing St. Joseph’s Church, it traveled to McShane’s headquarters in Missouri for a little “spa treatment”. After the bell was cosmetically refurbished and the supports were sandblasted and freshly powder coated, it made its way back north to be warehoused in our Deerwood office.
The 89-year-old bell is now safely nestled in its new home, where it can be a symbol of celebration and community for decades to come.
