Last week the Chicago Chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers invited Huskie Motorsports to not just attend the Pre-COMVEC Defense Dinner, but showcase our car. Our members had the opportunity to network with industry members, meet other students in SAE, and learn from three knowledgeable speakers. The team is grateful for the support SAE Chicago has given from this event. Thank you SAE Chicago Section!

We also exhibited at COMVEC with the NIU College of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Members that attended had great conversations and look forward to displaying the car again!

MITUTOYO AMERICA CORPORATION invited Huskie Motorsports to showcase our competition car at IMTS 2026, the largest manufacturing trade show in the world. This was possible due to the support of Mitutoyo which has provided us with high-quality precision metrology equipment, as well as valuable industry knowledge. The team is beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to show not only our hard work, but empower future engineers at the Smartforce Student Summit. Thank you Mitutoyo!

Sir Isaac Newton, the famous English scientist, once said, “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” We would like to recognize that our team is now where it is today without the hard work of our alumni predecessors. Recognizing the importance of those who have inpacted the success of NIU FSAE, we are greatly saddened by the passing of one of our alumnus, Adam Reinke. As a community of NIU FSAE members, new and old, we are keeping Adam and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
