We just wrapped up an exciting weekend at The Shootout 2024! Our 4b11-swapped Miata was in action, competing in both the 10.50 index and Max Effort F4X (a mix of drag racing and autocross). While the 10.50 drag racing class didn't quite go our way, we’re thrilled to announce that we took home 1st place in the Max Effort F4X class!

A big shoutout to Emtron for their advanced torque management and traction control systems, which helped us make the most of the street tires required for both the autocross and drag racing segments. We managed to achieve a solid 11.13 @ 139.70 in the drag racing portion and a 30.1s in AutoX.

Here at Exigent Solutions, we just completed an Emtron World tune on a stock block Evo X. Even if you don't have a built motor or a big power car, you can still benefit from all the advantages of a standalone system, especially Emtron.

This car came to us with a no boost issue because the old BorgWarner turbo had failed and deleted the turbine wheel. We installed an 57mm turbo, new FIC 1650 injectors, Radium fuel parts, and our Emtron kit.

Thanks to Emtron's torque-limiting capabilities, we can ensure that the stock block keeps its baby rods intact. Under any conditions or circumstances.

See comments for dyno sheet and how well the torque curve is managed with our strategy. Should be a fun and reliable street ripper!

More Emtron World tuning!

While not our usual Evo content, we just wrapped up a Emtron install and tune on this 2007 STI. The owner brought us this car with drive ability issues and just not a very good overall tune as it was done over 8 years ago on stock ECU. We installed a PNP harness with a Emtron SL6+ELC1.

Other parts we installed on this car include a front mount intercooler and intake kit, Demonic Performance 1650cc injectors and TGV adapters from . Also added a dual oil temp and pressure gauge.

While we didn't expect many gains at all as the owner wanted to actually turn the boost down a little bit making it more safe, it still picked up a little bit of torque and power while being at 2psi of less boost than the base line stock ECU tune.

This subie is ready to rip some backroads on a much better overall calibration now and will be ready for more upgrades in the future!

Last week, we completed work on Sullivan's Evo 10, which had been struggling with high fuel pressure issues. Despite two other shops giving it the "all clear," we dug deeper, diagnosed, and fixed the problem, along with several other minor issues.

While it was here, we also crafted a custom hood exit exhaust and retuned the car using Emtron World with our PNP kit. With the PTE 6466 turbo and our expert tune, Sullivan's Evo 10 now boasts an impressive 820whp and 579wtq on our Mustang dyno. 💪🔥
